Hayley is an American performer and actress. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". Even though she sings but her main passion is music. Music is her first love, that she insists on; it's something she has dabbled in since she was only nine years old. She began training in music professionally when she was 12. When she was 13, she started writing songs. She recorded her debut album at 14 years old. It hasn't turned back since. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic heritage. Her family has Hispanic roots even though she spoke English when a young girl and spent her entire life in the USA. To preserve the heritage she's enrolled in Spanish. Also, she writes songs using the Spanish language. She recorded the Spanish version of a track entitled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia participated in The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia's YouTube video was picked and she was awarded four "yeses" (or votes) by the judges at the Seattle audition. While she auditioned initially in a single performance in "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three other female singers, were placed into groups for the remaining part in the selection process. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the live shows.
